Data from the policymaking commission, an agency under the Department of Labor and Employment, showed the Philippines placing seventh in a ranking of 13 economies in the region, in terms of having the lowest minimum wage.
Workers in the National Capital Region (NCR) earn a daily minimum wage of P382 or $8.09.

3. For anyone new to a Mac, you are invited to visit any of the Participating Apple Premium Reseller stores for a free one-to-one training or iLife'09 training seminar. Mac units are also available in the participating stores for participants to work on their entries, please check with individual store for availability. Keep posted for updates on detailed seminar schedule and contact details.
4. All entries must be original and free from copyright, and become the property of Philstar. Organizers maintain the right to accept or reject any submitted work.

- Movies - upload to YouTube and email 'embed' link (maximum file size of 10MB)
- Blogs - web link
- Audio - .mp3 (maximum file size of 5MB)
5. Relatives of philstar.com, The Philippine Star, Pilipino Star Ngayon, The Freeman, Banat, People Asia and Apple employees to the second degree of consanguinity and affinity are disqualified from joining the contest.
6. Sending of entries will be from April 13 to June 21, 2009. The I Love Philippines Summer Webspecial Year 2 will be launched on April 13, 2009.
