Only in the Philippines!

Senator Mar Roxas already decided not to run for President and endorses Noynoy Aquino as Presidential candidate for Liberal Party. Mar Roxas made a big decision to give way for Noynoy Aquino who is not even sure of himself if he wanted to run as President for the coming 2010 elections.


I think it is the culture of the Filipinos to give way to somebody who is popular so that they will surely win in the election. I should say that popularity is a big factort during the Marcos' Regime since there is no other candidate or name than can match the President then.

But since then times have change, I think we should think many times over who we are going to elect as our next President. Our Country is in dire need of a good leader who is not reluctant to lead and knows what he want and what he will do with our country.

Being a candidate for the highest office in land is not an artista search that who is more popular and have a name recall will get our vote.

This coming election is a big wakreup call for all of us. Let us look and think before we will select a President who will lead our country in the next six years, come 2010 Elections.
